Job Title: Python Automation Engineer

About the Role

My client are for a Python Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation tools and scripts that streamline our workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python
• Identify manual, repetitive processes and build solutions to automate them
• Integrate automation tools with internal systems, APIs, and third-party services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline automation
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that other teams can rely on and extend
• Monitor and troubleshoot automation tooling in production, resolving issues quickly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflow pain points and translate them into automation requirements
• Maintain version control and documentation for all automation tools and scripts

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience building tools used by other people/teams
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Comfortable working with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
• Understanding of software testing principles (unit testing, test automation)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple automation projects
• Clear communication skills, able to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Background in DevOps or security automation
• Experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, etc.)
