Fullstack Engineer
This Engineer will work end to end on new features, enhancements, and defect resolution across one or more of the company's software platforms. You will work closely with the Product Management team throughout the software development process, detailing requirements, reviewing work in progress, and addressing issues found through manual test efforts. This is a backend leaning role, working primarily with Ruby on Rails, with some exposure to React on the frontend.

Responsibilities
- Backend feature development in Ruby and Rails
- Supporting frontend development in React and Redux as needed
- Unit and integration test development using tools such as RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara
- Building out prototypes and proof of concepts
- Active participation in daily stand up meetings
- Active participation in peer code reviews as part of the standard SDLC and change management process
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of backend focused, web based application development
- 6+ years of development experience with Ruby on Rails, or strong equivalent experience in Python or Java with a willingness to transition into Ruby on Rails
- Experience with HTML and CSS a plus, though this role leans primarily backend
- Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
- Passion for actively learning new technologies
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required
- Solid problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative approach to software development
- Fluency in English and Portuguese required, both written and verbal
