Senior Python AI Engineer
Location: Italy
Salary: Up to €80,000
Working: Remote, with occasional client-site travel
We are working with a leading AI engineering consultancy building an Agentic AI platform for a major global enterprise organisation.
We're looking for a Senior Python Engineer to work across platform development and customer deployment.
The role
This is a Forward Deployed Engineering position. You'll build the Agentic AI platform before working directly with customers to deploy solutions into their environments.
The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to client sites across Europe. Typically, this will be around 3 days every couple of months, with all travel and expenses covered.
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial Python experience
- FastAPI highly desirable
- Cloud and Kubernetes experience
- Strong platform experience
- Comfortable using AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
