Job title: Sr. Software Engineer

Rate: $30 - $40 per hour
Role Location: Remote - Latam
The Company: A fast-paced, product-led engineering team building a mission-critical collaborative editing platform used by professional writers across live television, AAA video game production, and soon film. Think Google Docs, but purpose-built for the entertainment industry, with a robust API that acts as infrastructure for entire production teams.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end engineering across front end and back end - most work centers on complex front-end UX interaction and rendering
- Participate in Infrastructure as Code development and optimization using Terraform and AWS
- Contribute to team culture through clear communication, closing the loop on decisions, and collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical teammates
- Participate in incident response and operational support — the team owns its own ops and handles rare incidents directly
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Mastery of React/Next.js and TypeScript with deep experience in complex, interactive front-end development beyond standard web applications
- Experience with real-time collaboration tools or low-latency distributed system challenges; understanding of persistent data structures
- Strong communication skills and high EQ - able to work closely in a small, agile team and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with back-end frameworks: NestJS, Prisma, Node.js
- Comfortable working with Postgres, Terraform, and AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a no-console-changes discipline
- Experience with Stripe or Okta
