The company:
We’re working with a high-growth payments technology company whose platform sits underneath some of the world’s leading banks, fintechs and merchants.
They’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure that powers a highly available, high-throughput payments platform.
This is a heavily infrastructure-focused role, with an approximate 80% focus on Infrastructure and 20% on DevOps/CI/CD. You’ll work on complex problems around cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability and reliability in an environment where infrastructure performance directly impacts customers and revenue.
Role and responsibilities:

Design, build and evolve highly available, scalable infrastructure across AWS.

Own and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Work across AWS infrastructure, networking, security and cloud architecture.

Design infrastructure capable of supporting high-scale, high-throughput and highly available systems.

Contribute to system design and architectural decisions across the platform.

Build and maintain robust CI/CD and DevOps processes, with an approximate 80/20 Infrastructure-to-DevOps split.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment and operational processes.

Improve the reliability, scalability and security of production infrastructure.
Job requirements:

Strong commercial experience in Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering or a similar role.

Strong AWS experience across infrastructure, networking, security and architecture.

Excellent Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.

Strong understanding of cloud networking and security.

Experience designing and operating high-scale, high-throughput and highly available environments.

Strong system design and architecture skills.

Experience working in production-critical environments where reliability is essential.

Experience within a product-led technology company is preferred, with startup/scale-up experience particularly valuable.
