Job title: Product Data Scientist

Rate: Up to $89 per hour (W2)

Role Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area preferred, though West Coast candidates are also considered

The company:

A large, well-established US software company with a consumer banking business. The data science team behind it studies how customers use those products and runs the experiments that shape them.

Role and Responsibilities:

A mid-level data science role, backed by senior scientists for guidance and mentoring. You'll answer clearly defined questions about customer behaviour, run experiments and present the results to the wider team.

• Dig into how customers sign up, stay active and stick around, and share what you find with the product, marketing, design and engineering teams
• Design, run and read out A/B tests, and support senior scientists on harder experiment designs
• Help trial new AI and analytics ideas on banking products, turning model output into metrics the team can use

Job Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years working as a data scientist or analyst
• Strong SQL and data modelling, plus BI dashboard and reporting work
• Hands-on A/B test design and interpretation
• Some exposure to causal inference, such as propensity score matching or difference-in-differences
• Comfortable using AI tools day to day for analysis and write-ups

Nice to Have:

• Fintech experience in banking, lending or payments
• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck ML
