Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) | Remote, Latin America | 12M Contract

A US group is building out a new offshore engineering team, and we are hiring two Senior Software Engineers to join it from the start.

This is not a maintenance seat on a finished product. The business has just compressed a large programme of work and funded a new team to make it happen. You will be one of the first engineers in.

What you will actually do

  • Ship features on the new programme of work alongside a small, fast-moving team
  • Triage and resolve issues across an established estate, some of it modern, some of it not
  • Support production systems the business genuinely depends on
  • Mentor and review, not just deliver. This is a senior seat and the team is being built around it.
  • Work directly with the US engineering team rather than through a layer of project management

Breadth matters more than specialism here. You will move between new build, investigation, and support in the same week, and you will pick up systems nobody has time to document for you.

What we need to see

  • 8+ years building enterprise applications in C#, .NET and ASP.NET. Not a line in your skills list, actual shipped work.
  • Microsoft Azure, deployed and managed. App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault or similar.
  • SQL Server depth: schema design, stored procedures, query optimisation.
  • Genuine range: RESTful APIs and microservices, a front-end framework (Angular, React or Blazor), and CI/CD on Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience mentoring or leading developers. Code review ownership, technical guidance, bringing others up.
  • Real production support and triage. On-call, incident work, hunting down bugs in code you did not write.
  • Comfort working inside legacy or inherited codebases. Plenty of this estate is older than the tooling you are used to.
  • Someone who takes the problem and runs with it. This team is being built to be self-sufficient, not to wait for instructions.

Nice to have

  • Azure Service Bus
  • Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM or Terraform)
  • OAuth2 / OpenID Connect and modern security practice
  • Microsoft Azure certification
