Role: Scala Engineer / Lead Developer
Location: Germany - presence in Berlin or Hamburg is appreciated.

Signify are collaborating with a long-standing client of ours in the transport industry who are searching for experienced Scala Developers, with leadership experience. The bulk of the job will be as an IC, where you will also foster your teams personal and professional growth, and overall well-being through people management.

About you:

• Experienced within Scala and Functional Programming.
• Worked with libraries such as Cats and Cats Effect.
• Experience with Kubernetes and deploying on AWS is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience leading people.
• Must be based in Germany and can work without requiring visa sponsorship.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate closely with fellow developers helping to create a unique app ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for their customers.
• Guide your team by cultivating a supportive and empowering environment, contributing to their professional and personal growth.
• Oversee the quality of your teams systems upholding rigorous standards via code reviews and testing.
