Job title: Platform Engineer | AWS Connect

Job type: Outside IR35 Contract

Contract Length: 6 Months (Likely Extension) 

Rate: £325 - £350 per day

Role Location: Remote, Occasional onsite visits - Telford/Glasgow

The company: IT Consultancy on Government Project

Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enhancements to Amazon Connect and telephony systems.
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., BT, Vodafone) for infrastructure-level issues.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
- Provide strategic input into platform upgrades, integrations, and roadmap planning.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation and SOPs.

Job Requirements:
- Deep expertise in Amazon Connect, AWS architecture, and enterprise telephony.
- Strong understanding of voice network infrastructure and SIP routing.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with external vendors.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.
