Job Title: Lead Applied Scientist
Salary: $250k - $350k + Equity
Location: USA - Fully Remote

Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to pretrain the next generation of large-scale multimodal models across image, video, audio, and text modalities
• Design and implement scalable training pipelines and novel architectures that improve performance and usability in creative applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring research breakthroughs into user-facing tools
• Guide the research direction and mentor junior researchers and engineers
• Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on innovation in generative AI

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in ML engineering or applied research, particularly in large-scale model development
• Strong programming skills with a focus on clean, maintainable research code
• Experience with human-in-the-loop systems and interactive ML tools
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from initial research to real-world implementation
• Proven mentorship experience and ability to foster collaborative research culture
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills
