About the Role
I am currently supporting an IT consultancy that are launching a project with a UK Healthcare body. We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the team on a critical digital transformation programme, delivering secure, reliable and automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support national healthcare systems.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary digital engineering team, helping to build, migrate and support cloud-first platforms in line with their digital strategy.

Key Deliverables
  • Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code deployments (primarily AWS-based).
  • Support the migration of legacy services to cloud and containerised environments.
  • Develop robust monitoring, logging and alerting solutions for mission-critical platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, service managers and infrastructure colleagues to improve software delivery processes and platform resilience.
  • Provide expert advice on cloud-native architecture, automation tooling, and best practices.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a senior DevOps Engineer in complex, large-scale environments.
  • Expertise with AWS, including IaaS, PaaS and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Hands-on skills with CI/CD tools (e.g. Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Proficiency with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
