Role: Backend Developer
Location: Lisbon - twice per week
Length: 12 months (initial)
3 stage interview process.

Signify Technology are working with a company who are expanding their engineering team in Lisbon, where they are now searching for an experienced back-end developer. You will join the team on site twice per week in their Lisbon offices. The role is an initial 12-month contract with the likelihood of being extended further.

Responsibilities:

• Craft high-quality software using agile methodologies
• Architect clean and dependable code
• Ensure the delivery of highly scalable and reliable products (their customers expect 99.999% uptime)
• Collaborate with fellow developers, architects, and principal engineers to exchange knowledge
• Contribute across the entire development lifecycle, from analysis to testing and operation

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer
• Versatility with various technologies
• Competence in languages like Java, Kotlin, C#, or others
• Experience in API development, whether self-hosted or Application Server based
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of both Relational and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team, self-motivated, and keen on learning
• Fluency in English
